About the Speakers
Adrian Florido is a national correspondent for NPR who covers identity and race. His beat takes him across the country to report on major flash points over race and racism, but also on the quieter ways identity and race play out in everyday life. Since 2017, he’s also reported on Puerto Rico, covering the remarkable political and social developments in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. He is currently spending the first several months of the second Trump administration seeking out stories about how the administration’s policies are affecting the lives of immigrants and communities of color.
Co-sponsored by: The Yale Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration (RITM); Belonging at Yale; the Department of Spanish and Portuguese; and La Casa Cultural.
