About the Speaker

Cadar Mohamud is the host and Founder of The Digital Sisterhood (TDS). TDS is a media and pop-culture start-up that aims to unite Muslim women globally by cultivating their own spaces, creating their own content and being the author’s of their own stories. TDS’s goal is to counter the pre-existing narrative on what it means to be a Muslim woman in the world today.

Through digital storytelling, Cadar aims to build a platform that inspires women worldwide to take charge of their own narrative by sharing their stories and experiences, which in turn drives empathy and inspires individuals to take positive action and to create a culture of global cooperation. The Digital Sisterhood Podcast tops charts around the world and in recent weeks held a spot in the top 3 podcasts in Canada, according to Spotify metrics.
