About the Speakers

Catherine Lacey is the author of the novels Biography of X, Pew, Nobody Is Ever Missing, and The Answers, as well as the story collection Certain American States. Her honors include a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Brooklyn Public Library Book Prize, a Whiting Award, and an O. Henry Prize.

Jonathan Lethem is the author of more than a dozen books, including Motherless Brooklyn, The Fortress of Solitude, and Cellophane Bricks, his latest. He is the winner of a MacArthur Foundation “Genius Grant” and serves as the Roy E. Disney Chair in Creative Writing at Pomona College.
